Versatile yard loader

Komatsu has released the WA480-8, a new yard loader versatile enough to be used for multiple applications.
The 223kW machine has been designed as a three-pass match for loading aggregate and other processed materials onto highway trucks, but can be adapted for infrastructure and non-residential construction applications as well.
The WA480-8 features a 7.2-cubic-yard bucket with curved side edges designed to minimize spillage, while its internal space and shape offers smooth material flow. It includes a long bucket jaw and decreased strike plane angle to facilitate easier filling and less resistance when penetrating piles. And thanks to its integrated load meter system, operators can see exactly how much material is in the bucket, thereby increasing their productivity.
